If you’re looking for an SUV with standard transmission, try the 2009 Jeep Compass or 2009 Jeep Patriot; both deliver a city rating of 23 MPG and a highway rating of 28 MPG. You can select either the 2WD or 4WD version; both are identical when it comes to gas mileage.

Now, you might be wondering what trucks have the best gas mileage. Full size trucks are certainly not known for good gas mileage, but a couple of hybrid models don’t fare too badly.
